free-tools.uk is free, ad-free and login-free. We aim to collect the absolute minimum data needed to keep the site running and to know which tools are useful.

What we don't do

• No tracking cookies.
• No third-party analytics or advertising scripts.
• No selling of any data.
• No login required for any tool.

What we do collect

When you open a tool page, we record an anonymous event server-side containing only the tool slug, its category and a short-lived, SHA-256-hashed visitor identifier. The hash is derived from your IP address, user agent and a daily-rotating secret, so we cannot link events across days and never store your IP address in any form.

Most tools run entirely in your browser; their inputs and outputs are never sent to our servers.

Cookies

Public pages set no cookies. The admin area uses a single HTTP-only, SameSite=Lax session cookie that is required for the area to function.
